Process

Hello again! This is the process to achieve your goal:

1. First, the teacher will assign you to a team of 2-3 students and you will learn the name of your candidate.

       We will use https://wheelofnames.com!

2. Second, you will create a PowerPoint presentation.  Make sure that you add pictures and transitions to it.  Also, include the following information:

  • An introductory page presenting your topic, the name of your team members, and your class.  *If you want to do it individually, talk to me.

  • Full name of your candidate and pictures

  • Important facts about their lives (short biography)

  • Mention their occupation and accomplishments

  • What action was initiated by this person? (Example: ______ was the first African American who...)

  • Why should we feature them in a new dollar bill

**Pay close attention to capital letters, punctuation, verbs, and nouns, among others.  **

3. Once you complete your Powerpoint, you will design a new dollar bill featuring your candidate.  You have to designate an inexistent value to your dollar bill as well. Example: You may create a $5.75 bill. Be creative!

4. After you finish the Powerpoint presentation and your dollar bill is designed, you will present the information to your class.

5. Lastly, your class will cast their votes and the results will be revealed.

** The top 3 dollars with the highest votes will have extra points. Those points may be used in any assignment for the marking period.**

Have fun!  ☺☻☺☻
